White-Label Accounting for New Zealand Accounting Firms
We become your invisible back office so you can take on more clients without more hiring risk. Delivered to NZ IFRS for New Zealand businesses, priced in NZD.
New Zealand firms run on Xero, and every one of their clients expects a file that is current rather than reconstructed at GST time. The two-monthly GST cycle and payday filing's per-run reporting to Inland Revenue leave most small and mid-sized practices short of production capacity long before the IR4 season starts. We supply that layer — reconciled bookkeeping, GST-ready workpapers and payroll reconciliation — inside your own Xero practice file, under your firm's own name.
IR4 filing and the tax-agent relationship with Inland Revenue stay with your firm; we do not file and do not advise your clients directly. We reconcile the ledger, prepare the two-monthly GST return to a lodgement-ready standard against the 28th-of-the-month cycle — 15 January for the November period, 7 May for the March period — and reconcile PAYE from payday filing so your firm's tax-agent extension to 31 March is used for review, not for catching up the books.
The deadlines we track against your ledger.
| Obligation | Frequency | Due | Authority |
|---|---|---|---|
| GST return and paymentGST-registered businesses on the standard two-monthly cycle | Two-monthly | 28th of the month after the taxable period ends — except 15 January for the November period and 7 May for the March period | IRD |
| IR4 company income tax return | Annual | 7 July, extended to 31 March the following year through a tax agent | IRD |
| PAYE employment information and paymentEmployers | Monthly | 20th of the following month for small employers; 5th and 20th for large employers | IRD |
Last reviewed against the source . These are the standard dates. Extensions through a registered agent, a non-calendar year end, and volume-based filing frequencies all shift them — confirm your own dates with IRD. This is general information, not tax advice.

Xero
Xero is the default rather than a choice here — it was built in New Zealand and is effectively the national standard — so we work inside your existing practice file and client codes rather than migrating anyone. GST is coded against the actual rate treatment on each transaction so the return reconciles without adjustment journals.
A worked example, in your currency.
An Auckland SaaS company, 1,400 transactions a month, two-monthly GST, 9 staff.
- In-house finance hire (fully loaded, per month)
- $8,300
- Salt bookkeeping + virtual CFO layer
- $3,200
- Monthly saving
- $5,100
Figures in NZD. A local virtual CFO engagement typically costs more than bookkeeping alone but replaces a part-time finance director.
The framework your New Zealand accounts are held to.
We prepare to NZ IFRS / NZ IFRS RDR, as set by the XRB. These are the bodies that set that framework and the authorities you file with — linked so you can verify the standard rather than take our word for it.
