Salt.
For accounting & CPA firms

What your firm pays Salt, per client.

One published rate card. What you bill your client is your decision entirely — this is only the cost side of that equation.

Buying for your own business rather than reselling to clients? See business pricing.

The rate card

Published in full. Theirs is not.

Per client, per hour, per seat or per job — pick whichever matches how your practice already prices. What you charge your client is entirely yours.

Ad-hoc, by the hour

ProductionBookkeeping, AP/AR$12
QualifiedAccounts, tax preparation$20
Manager reviewSign-off$30

Production and review are billed separately on purpose. A single blended rate charges you manager money for coding bank lines; here the $12 hour and the $30 hour appear on the invoice as themselves, so review time is the only time you pay review rates for.

Rush turnaround

Added when you need turnaround under 48 hours during peak season. Standard turnaround is 48–72 hours and carries no uplift — the surcharge is the exception, and it is agreed in writing before the work starts, never applied to an invoice after the fact.

Check the arithmetic

What a client is actually worth to you.

Enter what you already bill one client, pick the SKU that would deliver their books, and see the margin — shown as arithmetic, not a percentage you have to trust.

USD, one client's monthly retainer — not your whole book.
